PAGE  OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS BLUE EARTH COUNTY, MINNESOTA June 29, 2004 The County Board of Commissioners met in the Commissioners’ Room at 9:00 A.M. Present were Chairperson Colleen Landkamer, Commissioners Kip Bruender, Tom McLaughlin, and Katy Wortel. Also present were County Administrator Dennis McCoy and County Attorney Ross Arneson. Amended Agenda Commissioner Wortel moved and Commissioner McLaughlin seconded the motion to approve the amended agenda to include repair request on JD 40, revised minutes, tax abatements, and a resolution regarding Commissioner Bennett’s resignation. The motion carried. 2004-313 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Those present said the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES Mr. McCoy, County Administrator presented the following resolution to the Board. Commissioner McLaughlin moved and Commissioner Wortel seconded the motion to approve the following resolution: Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners Resolution WHEREAS, Commissioner Al Bennett has provided his resignation from the Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners effective July 24, 2004 to the County Board; and THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners hereby accepts Commissioner Al Bennett’s resignation effective July 24, 2004; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the dates for filing Affidavits of Candidacy for Commissioner District 4 shall be during normal County business hours from July 6, 2004 until 5 P.M. July 20, 2004; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the special election to fill the District 4 Commissioner vacancy shall be conducted on September 14, 2004 concurrent with the general primary election; and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that if a special primary election is necessary to fill the District 4 Commissioner vacancy, it shall be conducted on August 10, 2004.
