节Step 1. warmer
1. The teacher show the words to revise them,then ask the students to spell them, teacher write them on the board.
2. Revise the sentences in unit 1.
Show the picture: the great wall . then ask: how long is it? How old is it?
3. Then show building and ask the question: how tall is the building?
Have the students answer it using the sentence: it’s ………tall.
4. Teacher write the title: it’s twenty metres tall.
Step 2. Learn the part 1.
1. listen and answer the questions:
what’s the building?
How tall is the building?
How old is the clock? (此时老师对tall 和 high 的用法做一个简单的介绍和练习。)
2. listen and check the answer.
3. listen and repeat.
4. role play. Daming ------simon.
5. ok, let’s read the dialogue again.
Step 3. learn the part 2 and part 3.
1. the teacher show the pictures one by one. ( the great wall, old building, new building, river Thames, tower bridge ) then teach the words.
So that have the students can read them out.
2.Teacher put the pictures on the board ,ask the questions and have the students guess the answer,teacher write the numbers under the pictures.
Questions: how old is the great wall?
How long is the tower bridge?
How tall is the old building?
How old id the new building?
How long is the river Thames?
3. listen and check the answers, give the winner to draw a 泡.
4.listen and point or listen and numbers.
5.Read the sentences.
Step 4.learn the part 4: listen and say, then sing.
