Wind energy as inexhaustible and renewable sources of clean energy, has been increasingly attended by our government. as the rich wind resources and the decreased cost of the wind turbine manufacturing year by year, wind power had a broad prospect. This paper mainly describes the status of wind power in the world, the theories of wind power , the economic of wind power, the constructive process of wind power field, the introduction of the wind power unit and power, control system of wind power, the composition and maintenance of windmills, influence on the environment of wind power and its own characteristics and the prospects of the development of wind power. At the same time, analyzing the factors of restricting wind power of our country and the distinctions of wind power and others.
