Introduction can serve as a warming up of the class. To make students fully prepared for the study of the passage, the teacher may encourage the students to talk about the film Harry Potter, which leads to Reading and Vocabulary. The reading passage is a film review which mainly represents to us the Chinese martial arts film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It is suggested that students should first skim the reading passage and get the general idea of each paragraph and then join them into a short passage. If necessary, deal with some difficult language points. 三维目标 1. 知识与技能 1)Vocabularies about films and TV programmes: actor, actress, adventure film, argue, channel, character, chat show, come out, comedy, crime, desert, direct, disagree, entertaining, female, fiancé, fight, graceful, leap, male, martial arts film, masterpiece, moving, play a part, quiz show, romantic film, roof, soap (opera), sports programme, star(v. ), sword, take place, thriller, TV/radio drama 2)Develop the students’reading ability. 3)Talk about the items of a film. 2. 过程与方法 Individual work or pair work to get every student to participate in class. Explanations to make students master some language points. Fast-reading to make students get the main idea of the passage. 3. 情感与价值 Cultivate students’sense of appreciation.
