Module 2 A Job Worth Doing
Period one: Vocabulary and Reading
(1)三维目标
A.Knowledge and skills
1) Get the students to learn and grasp the following important useful new words and expressions in the part:
offer to do; comes off; be lucky to do; amount of money; climb up to; give him a tip; take … for granted; volunteer to do; have an encounter with; have an effect on;
2) Learn the language in this part and get the students to read the passage “The Human Traffic Signal”.
B.Process and methods
1) Talking about the traffic in our city/ country and the strategies to improve the situation;
2) Discuss the traffic police and the volunteers on the roads;
3) Read passage in several ways
C. Emotion, attitude and values
1) Learn to choose a suitable job and study hard to realize their dreams.
2) Make the Ss respect those who work as volunteers.

T: To tell you the truth, as early as when I was a primary school student, to be a teacher has become my dream. Now, as you see, my dream comes true.
