4. 听懂、会说、会读并会拼写句型I want to…5. 正确理解、掌握对话内容,并能朗读、表演对话。

能够用句型:Can I have…? What for?向别人要东西。
掌握写信的知识。
情感目标:
运用本课所学知识,鼓励学生大胆用英文与国外友人沟通,并尝试写英文信交到笔友。

Step1 Warm-up
Watch a video: you and me(if you want to sing, sing after it)
free talk:
T: What day/date is it today?
S: It is Monday.
T: Good, what day/date was it yesterday?
S: It was Sunday.
T: Do you have any friends?
T: Who is your good friend?
Step2 Presentation
I have a friend, too. His name is Peter.
Do you want to know something about him? You can ask me some questions.(make a model)
4 in a group, talk about what questions can we ask and write down your questions.
Read the introduction about Peter, ask and answer the questions in pairs. Check the answers together.

Try to remember the informations about Peter and fill in the blanks on your book.

Try to introduce Peter.
We’ve known Peter very well, here’s a Chinese boy, Liu Tao. He wants to be Peter’s penfriend.

How can penfriends contact with each other?(Ss have their own opinions)
There’re so many ways, but Liu Tao chooses the traditional way, write a letter to Peter. What does he need?(Listen)

Teach the new words: writing paper, envelope, stamp
Read and act out Liu Tao and Mum’s dialogue.
If we ask for something, the two sentences are very important: Can I have…? What for? practice with different pictures.
