M: Hey, so I think I might need a part-time job. W: Really? Why? M: I was just calculating my expenses for the semester, and if I want to have any fun, I’m going to need a little extra cash. I mean, I have enough fro food and supplies and the basics. I just don’t have enough to go out on the weekend. W: So you’re thinking like fifteen or twenty hours a week? M: No, more like ten hours. W: Oh, so you don’t want to work a lot-just enough for a night out a week or so, right? M: Yeah, that’s basically it. W: Oh, well, you should check the school paper’s classifieds. They have listings for all kinds of part-time jobs around campus. M: Thanks! I’ll definitely check that out. W: Hi, Professors, may I ask your advice? M: Sure. What’s the problem? W: I’ve been working really hard in your class, but I’m having a little trouble understanding the material in the textbook. M: Well the material is a little complicated. I’ve actually had quite a few students ask me for advice about this. So I think what you should do is take notes on the material while you’re going over it. You know: key words, concepts, and such. And if that doesn’t work, you could always go to the learning center. They’ll help you with other tactics. W: Oh okay. Thanks a lot. Oh, do you know how much they charge at the learning center? M: Oh, those services are free of charge. W: Hey, how’re you going to study for this huge history exam? M: Oh, man. I don’t know, but I figure I’ll be spending many long hours in the library. W: The Library? Really? I don’t even know what the library’s hours are anymore. M: Wow, it really has bee n a while since you went last. The library’s open twenty-four hours a day right now. At least till final exams are over. Then it’ll go back to regular hours. W: Oh, so studying at the library would be really convenient. I mean, I could be there all night if I needed do. M: Yeah, you could. And the nice things are that they’ve got all kinds of different couches and desks and tab
