This paper makes a prospect over the development of smart distribution techniques in China, including several aspects, such as smart distribution network optimal planning and the design of self-healing configuration, smart distribution network sensor and communication technique, information system of smart distribution network, advanced distribution automation of smart distribution network, new techniques and equipments of smart distribution network.
