the natural world. Have you ever heard of UFOs?
2.Do you think UFOs really exist?; Before the phrases “flying saucer” and “UFO” were invented in the late 1940s, there were a number of reports of unidentified aerial (空中的) phenomena. These reports date from the mid-nineteenth to early twentieth century.
The following are some examples:
On January 25, 1878, The Denison Daily News wrote that a local farmer John Martin had reported seeing a large, dark and round object looking like a balloon flying “at wonderful speed”. ; On February 28, 1904, there was a sighting by three crew members on the USS Supply 300 miles west of San Francisco, reported by Lt. Frank Schofield, who wrote of three bright red egg-shaped objects that moved under the clouds, then changed course and flew above the clouds, going directly away from the earth after 2 to 3 minutes. The largest had a size of about six suns.
On January 31, 1916, a UK pilot near Rochford reported a row of lights, like lighted windows on a railway carriage, which rose and disappeared.; In late September 1926, an airmail pilot over Nevada was forced to land by a huge, wingless cylindrical object.
On February 25, 1942, the U.S. Army discovered unidentified aircraft both visually and on radar over the Los Angeles, California area.
In 1946, there were over 2,000 reports of unidentified aircraft in the Scandinavian nations, along with reports from France, Portugal, Italy and Greece. Over 200 such aircrafts were followed on radar and considered to be “real physical objects” by the Swedish Army.;Introduction ;A.The Bigfoot B.The Yeti C.The Loch Ness Monster
