In this period first we will deal with Speaking part.The teacher may order the students to perform a role play practicing how to ask the interviewee and give appropriate answers to the interviewer in an interview concerning the monster in Lake Tianchi.This activity may go over what the students learned in Reading and Vocabulary part effectively to a great degree.Meanwhile it gives the students an excellent opportunity to put what they have learned into practice and raises their awareness of how important the cooperation is.Afterwards we will organize activities to get through Function part.Four activities are exposed in this part.In the first activity the teacher can ask the students to read the sentences from the reading passage and try to summarize the rules in expressing possibility and improbability.Then work in groups of four to practice using these rules to make up sentences.Activity 2 requires the students to rewrite some sentences using words expressing possibility in the brackets.Through the third activity the students can have a further more clear understanding of the reading passage by choosing what they agree with.The last activity can arouse the students’ interest and imagination in describing the pictures.
