Methods Retrospective analysis of 91 patients with pathologically confirmed acute appendicitis in patients with ultrasonography, the reasons for misdiagnosis of appendicitis. Results 91 cases of appendicitis, ultrasound diagnosis rate of 89% (81/91). Among them, 36 cases of simple appendicitis, diagnosis rate was 89% (32/36), suppurative appendicitis in 38 cases, diagnosis rate was 89% (34/38), gangrenous and perforated appendicitis in 12 cases, diagnosis rate was 83% (10/12), appendiceal abscess in 5 cases, diagnosis was 100% (5 / 5). Conclusion Ultrasound diagnosis of acute appendicitis have a higher value. Check the physician’s technology, equipment quality, patient diversity is the main reason for misdiagnosis of appendicitis.
