 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 3 A high degree of axial myopia after cataract surgery refractive status and the relationship between quality of life [Abstract] Objective To analyze the preoperative wearing glasses and not wearing glasses in patients with high axial myopia cataract surgery refractive status and quality of life, and to explore the group after the appropriate refractive status. Method study from May 2004 to January 2005, the result of a high degree of axial myopia in Optometry, Wenzhou Medical College Hospital, phacoemulsification cataract extraction combined intraocular lens implantation in 73 cases of hospitalized patients (102 eyes) , axial lengthamp;gt; 26.00 mm, refractive poweramp;gt; -6.00 D. All operations be completed by the same experienced physician. After 1 month follow-up patients before and after surgery with routine slit lamp examination, fundus examination, uncorrected distant visual acuity, best corrected visual acuity, near visual acuity, refractive power, corneal curvature and the quality of life (quality of life, QOL) survey. Study QOL questionnaire includes four aspects:? Hao? Falsely, as much function-related issues. ? Ni? Falsely, as the last function-related issues. ? Ying? False ordinary times of life, entertainment and social activities. ? Kan? Falsely cataract-related symptoms. Preoperative patients were divided into two groups wearing glasses and not wearing glasses, according to refractive status after 1 month sub-subgroups, Ⅰ group: 0.75 ~ -1.50 D, Ⅱ group: -1.625 ~ -2.875 D, Ⅲ Group: -3.00 ~ -7.50 D. Results ocular distance vision, best corrected visual acuity, near vision than before surgery were significantly increased, the differences were significant; preoperative wearing glasses and not wearing glasses in the postoperative QOL, as the recent increase in the difference significant, other aspects no significant differences. Preoperative wearing glasses to improve QOL in the visual aspects of the past, Ⅰ group QOL lower
