Methods Male Wistar rats were 36, were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group, model group and treatment group. model group plus two intratracheal LPS passive replication COPD models. The treatment group received kidney through the lung soup. 30 d underwent bronchoalveolar lavage fluid cell counts and classification counts, was observed by immunohistochemistry in lung tissue MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression. Lung tissue sections were hematoxylin - eosin (HE) staining morphology. Results of model group MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression was significantly increased compared with the control group (P lt;0.01). the treatment group compared with model group, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression relative decreased (P lt;0.01). Conclusion Yishen Tongfei Decoction can reduce the lung tissue of COPD MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression, played the role of COPD prevention and treatment.
