Acid-base imbalance during cardiopulmonary resuscitation Research Progress

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 13 Acid-base imbalance during cardiopulmonary resuscitation Research Progress Keywords:: cardiac arrest cardiopulmonary resuscitation in acid-base balance of blood gas analysis of carbon dioxide overshoot; hypercapnic acidosis acidosis Cardiac arrest is a common one of the critically ill patients. Abroad, statistics show that took place outside of the hospital cardiac arrest, only 10% ~ 20% of patients can restore spontaneous circulation, survival of patients discharged from hospital only 6%. National data indicate that cardiac arrest outside the hospital’s cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation, CPR) success rate of 2.58%, 1-week survival rate is only 0.72%. Produce this result are many reasons, but cardiac arrest when the acid-base imbalance in the diagnosis and treatment of confusion, at least part of the role played. Thus, in-depth study of changes in cardiac arrest when the acid-base characteristics, mechanisms and countermeasures have important theoretical and practical significance. CPR efficiency of monitoring methods There is no CPR for monitoring the efficiency of the ideal and practical method. Commonly used and relatively reliable flesh analysis and exhaled CO2 monitoring (ETCO2), both have their advantages and disadvantages [1 ~ 3]. Blood gas analysis through in vivo blood gas and acid-base changes to reflect changes in cardiac output. Subject to repeated blood, and blood in different parts of the results are different. ETCO2 is simple, non-invasive, can dynamically reflect the CO2 emissions of the lungs, so as to reflect changes in cardiac output, but can not accurately reveal the in vivo acid-base status. Taken in combination, complement each other, can only monitor more accurately the efficiency of CPR. Characteristics of acid-base imbalance during CPR In critical condition due to cardiac arrest, change rapidly, the rescue is often difficult to take into account relevant inspection, and the
