 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 4 China’s urban and rural infant and young child nutrition and health status and variance analysis [Abstract] Objective To understand the changes in urban and rural infant and young child nutrition and health situation and the differences between urban and rural areas, for countries to develop relevant policies to improve the quality of providing a scientific basis. Methods dominated previous National Nutrition Survey data, analysis of urban and rural infant and young child nutrition and health status changes of the gap between urban and rural areas. The results of China’s infant mortality rate continued to decline in birth, birth marked improvement in physical fitness; 0 ~ 3-year-old infant height, weight and a marked increase in the rate of growth retardation and low body weight was significantly decreased, but the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia significantly increased; my baby child nutrition and health status of urban-rural gap was further enlarged, infants and young children in rural areas the rate of growth retardation, low birth weight rate and the prevalence of anemia were significantly higher than in urban. Conclusion China’s infant and young child nutrition and health conditions have constantly improved, but the problem of malnutrition is still very prominent, especially in rural areas attention should be paid.
