[Abstract] Objective To study the chemical composition of sweet potato leaves in Brazil. Methods Brazilian ethanol extract of sweet potato leaves by petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, n-butanol extraction, the ethyl acetate extract parts of silica gel column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatography and other methods, isolated eight compounds, the manager of identification of the nature and structure of spectral data. Results from Brazil, sweet potato leaves were isolated and identified eight compounds were identified as ① silver linden glycosides; ② glycosides milk vetch; ③ buckthorn limonene; ④ isorhamnetin; ⑤ kaempferol; ⑥ caffeic acid alkyl esters 18 ; ⑦ quercetin-3-O-β -D glucose; ⑧ 2,4 - 2-hydroxy acid. Conclusion Compounds ⑥ ~ ⑧ for the first time from this plant were isolated.

Brazil sweet potato Ipomoea batatas Lam. (Cv. Simon) for the Convolvulaceae Ipomoea plants are found in the Brazilian Federal National Agricultural University of medicinal sweet potato varieties, introduced to China by the Japanese after the cultivation in our country in many areas. Modern research has found that the Brazilian hemorrhagic disease of sweet potato on a variety of significant efficacy [1], also has anti-tumor [2], enhance the body’s immunity and anti-aging functions [3], has a broad development prospect. In order to explore the Brazilian active ingredients in sweet potato leaves, this experiment to study its chemical composition, and which were first isolated compounds were obtained three kinds of structural analysis.
