Methods Male Wistar rats, ligation of the left coronary artery and causes an acute myocardial infarction (AMI) were randomly divided into Danshen injection group, heart-protecting musk pill (positive control) group, model group (negative control), and sham-operated group 6 weeks later, animals were killed. Immunohistochemical method to detect myocardial ischemia in the rat microvessel count (MVC), microvessel density (MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), platelet-derived growth factor β (PDGF-β), insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) protein expression, with the pathological image analysis system measured growth factor protein expression in gray scale values and semi-quantitative analysis.
