Results: Treatment , the 2 groups were significantly decreased blood pressure, differences between groups was not significant (Pgt; 0.05), TGD group and felodipine group, SOD activity before treatment were (85.6 + -11.2) U / mL and (86.3 + -12,5) U / mL, after treatment (98.1 + -12.8) U / mL and (95.1 + -13.2) U / mL, after treatment there was significant difference (P lt;0.01); MDA before treatment (6.28 + -1.65) nmol / L and (6.23 + -1.58) nmol / L, after treatment (4.08 + -1.30) nmol / L and (5.11 + -1.39) nmol / L, after treatment There was a significant difference (P lt;0.01). TGD IMT group before and after treatment were (1.16 + -0.14) mm and (0.75 + -0.08) mm, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.01). Conclusion: Tianma decoction of the liver yang blood pressure in hypertensive patients with good effect, and can increase the antioxidant activity, improve blood pressure in patients with carotid atherosclerosis.
