[Methods] Case-control method of analysis in our hospital 364 cases of colorectal cancer patients and 733 cases of non-cancer patients with diabetes mellitus. [Results] diabetic patients suffering from colorectal cancer risk 1.72 times that of non-diabetic patients; a history of diabetes in patients with colorectal cancer risk transfer took place is no history of diabetes, 1.94 times; Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that: the history of diabetes, of colorectal cancer independent risk factor for illness. [Conclusion] Diabetes increases the risk of colorectal cancer risk, and also accelerate the transfer of colorectal carcinoma.
