From the Cultural Corner we know the reputation of dragons in different countries.What’s more,it is useful for students to know that the same thing may enjoy different reputations in different countries or areas.The task of this module is to write about a mystery for visitors to China.Through module file the students may revise and check what they have learned in this module.

Make the students master some new words.
Broaden their eyes with a passage about dragons.
Instruct the students to learn to write a mystery for visitors to China.

Through the cultural corner the students may know the importance of understanding that the same species may enjoy different reputations in customs as well as culture of different countries and areas.

Step 1 Revision
(Greet the students as usual.)
1.Check up their homework exercises.
2.Provide the students with situations to use everyday English.
Step 2 Cultural corner
T:In this module we mainly learned the unexplained mysteries of the natural world.I have a question for you:Do you hear of the animal “dragon”?
Ss:Maybe a little.
T:Now read through this passage quickly to make sense of the animal “dragon”.Meanwhile,answer the following questions:
(Show the following two questions on the screen)
1.What do Chinese think of dragon?
2.What do westerners think of dragons?(Minutes later)
T:Any volunteer?
S:Let me try.From the passage we can conclude that in Chinese culture,dragons are generous and wise,but they can be unpredictable.
T:You’ve got it.The Chinese consider it friendly and think that it can bring good luck to human beings.The second question,who’d like to share your opinion?
S:In the west dragons had a different reputation.People hated them and were afraid of them.
(Ask the students to answer the two questions individually.)
