 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 3 Elderly patients with total knee replacement surgery and the care and rehabilitation training [Abstract] Objective clinical implementation of total knee replacement patients are mostly elderly people, for the old people’s psychological characteristics and health status, a clear point of care before and after surgery, the implementation of nursing care and rehabilitation guidance, reduce complications, as early as possible so that patients can be restored to the best daily lives. Methods in June 2003 ~ February 2006 in our hospital total knee replacement surgery in 20 cases, according to knee replacement surgery care points to perioperative care, early implementation of the rehabilitation of the guidance given to patients with psychological comfort and spiritual support. Results 18 cases of postoperative results were satisfactory; 1 case after 5 months due to accidentally walk femoral neck fracture occurred ipsilateral limbs, cured by surgical treatment; 1 case of postoperative wound infection, wound healing after knee fusion line, function of knee flexion is limited. Conclusion earnestly preoperative preparation, intraoperative and postoperative strict aseptic measures to improve care, rehabilitation and thoughtful guidance, can prevent or reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications and development, to ensure the operation is successful, thus lifting knee pain to correct deformity, improve joint function and improve quality of life in elderly patients.
