[Keywords:] gelatin, osteoblast, cell culture [Abstract] Objective To observe the effect of the medicine containing blood serum of Ejiao on the multiplicative and differentiative function of the osteoblast of wistar rats cultured in vitro.Methods MTT method was used to observe the effect of Ejiao on the multiplicative function of the osteoblast and ELISA metod was adopted to observe the effect of Ejiao on ALP content of the osteoblast.Results The medicine containing blood serum of the three dosage groups of Ejiao had no promotive effect on the multiplicative function of osteoblast, but it had obvious promotive effect on the ALP synthesis inside the osteoblast.Conclusions Ejiao has no promotive effect on the multiplicative function of the osteoblast, but has differentiative function on the osteoblast of wistar rats cultured in vitro.
