[Methods] 32 male Wistars were randomly divided into normal control group, control group treated with rosiglitazone and two experimental groups treated with high or low dose JZM.After durations of 7 days with corresponding treatment by intragastric administration, the blood glucose (BG) in homeostasis and glucose infusion rate (GIR) of each group is observed by using the glucose clamp technique. [Results ] JZM can decrease the blood glucose (BG) in homeostasis and increase glucose infusion rate (GIR) obviously. [Couclusion] JZM can improve the insulin sensitivity in insulin resistance rats.
