Hypotensive effect of propofol and the relationship between ATP-sensitive potassium channels

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 14 Hypotensive effect of propofol and the relationship between ATP-sensitive potassium channels Of: Zhao Yaqin, Hu keep tai, Lei Xiaoming, Xuerong Liang, Wu Gang, Li Shaomin [Abstract] Objective To observe the effects of propofol on hemodynamics and renin hypertensive effects and its association with ATP-sensitive potassium channel (KATP channel). Methods 30 male mongrel dogs, weight (15 + - 5) kg, established canine renal artery stenosis model of hypertension, immediately divided into 3 groups, namely control group, propofol group and the glibenclamide group. the control group and each given intravenous propofol group 50g / L glucose 10mL, glibenclamide group received glibenclamide 10mL (0.3mg/kg, dissolved in 50g / L glucose), 10min after the control group were given 50g / L glucose, 10mL, the other 2 group given propofol 10mL (2mg / kg, 50g / L glucose, diluted.) basis of recording, 2,10,20,30 min after administration when the mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR), respiratory rate (RR) and renin activity (PRA). Results propofol group were blood pressure, heart rate decreased progressively with time (P lt;0.05), glibenclamide decreased blood pressure was weaker than the propofol group (P lt;0.05), heart rate decreased when compared with propofol significantly (P lt;0.05), while propofol group were also decreased renin activity (P lt;0.05), and lower than the glibenclamide group (P lt;0.05). Conclusion hypotensive effect of propofol and its effect on KATP channels, inhibition of renin activity, thereby inhibiting the renin angiotensin aldosterone system related. [Keywords:] propofol, blood pressure, ATP sensitive potassium channel, dogs ABSTRACT: Objective To observe the influence of propofol on hemodynamics and plasma rennin activity (PRA) in hypertensive dogs, and investigate the relation between propofol and ATP sensitive K + channels (KATP channels). Methods Thirty healthy male bastard dogs, weighing (15 + - 5) kg,
