Methods To detect the difference among the results of 60 cases of cerebral infarct that have been processed with the SE sequence T1-weighted, T2-weighted , the FLAIR sequence and the DWI sequence. Results There were 172 lesions in the T2-weighted images and 286 lesions in the FLAIR images. The 26 lesions in the 21 cases of acute cerebral infarct detected with the DWI scanning. It was diagnosed as acute cerebral infarct because the DWI images showed the inter-structure and the borders of 26 lesions very clearly. Conclusion Low Field MRI is of certain value in diagnosing the acute cerebral infarct.
