[Keywords:] femoral shaft fracture, fracture fixation, intramedullary nail [Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical application of interlocking intramedullary nail on treating femoral shaft fracture.Methods 218 cases of famoral shaft fracture were treated with open reduction of small incision and interlocking intramed ullary nail.Results 218 cases were follow-up for 15 months on average.All patients achieved solid bone union, at an average 12 weeks.There were no complication in the sereis.Conclusion The use of interlocking intramedullary nail and small incision open reducation is successful in the treatment of femoral shaft fractures.It can provide a stable and reliable fixation which is of benefit for early functional exercise.It is the best method in the treatment of femoral shaft fracture.
