The disease occurs in batches on the skin and mucous rash, papules, herpes and characterized by crusting, and can be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever, mainly in children, adults occasionally, but there is a growing trend in adult chickenpox [1], more importantly, chicken pox rash appears in the prodromal period before the symptoms clear, therefore, could easily lead in the precursor of misdiagnosis. our department from January 2007 to December 2009 have admissions in other hospitals or other branches of misdiagnosis of 36 cases of adult chickenpox, are as follows. 1 Clinical data 1.1 General Information 36 cases of adult chickenpox or other subjects are outside hospital to our department after the first treatment clinic patients, including 20 males, 16 females, aged 18 to 43 years, mean 27 years old, a history of 1 ~ 4 d, an average of 2.8 d, meet the diagnostic criteria of adult chickenpox [2], the incidence of early diagnosis of the outer court or other subjects as “upper respiratory tract infection” and “papular urticaria”, “drug eruption” and other diseases, given cough and anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy treatment. 1.2 Clinical manifestations Early clinical high fever, malaise, loss of appetite, joint pain, etc., followed by centripetal distribution of skin red rash, blisters, blisters thin walls, and around to flush, concave umbilical blisters center, consciously mild itching. 36 patients, 30 patients had fever (body temperature of 37.8 ~ 40.3 , average 38.7 ), 30 cases of general malaise, joint pain in 26 cases, 30 cases of sore throat, headache in 16 cases, cough, sputum in 14 cases, anorexia, nausea and vomiting in 6 patients. including
