Results: The model group compared with the control group ratio, a significant decline in learning and memory, Bcl-2/Bax ratio decreased; the treatment group and model group, significant improvement in learning and memory, Bcl-2/Bax ratio increases. Methods: The D-galactose AD rat model was used, and the rats were divided into high and low MingZhi capsule treating group, Piracetam control group, aging rat model group and aging rat blank group. Changes of ethology, expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in brain tissue were tested. Results: AD model might decrease cognitive ability, the ratio of Bcl- 2/Bax in the hippocampus comes down. MingZhi capsule significantly alleviated cognitive ability, the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax rises. Conclusion: The results show that the curative effect of MingZhi capsule is good to AD, the expression of bcl-2 protein is increased, while the expression of bax protein is reduced. which may be one of the mechanisms of MingZhi capsule to prevent and treat AD dis
