 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 2 Montelukast treatment of cough variant asthma [Abstract] Objective To investigate the effect of montelukast (montelukast) treatment of children with cough variant asthma (cough variant asthma, CVA) efficacy. Methods 87 patients with CVA were randomly divided into treatment group 45 cases, 42 cases of the control group. The control group was given oral procaterol hydrochloride (U.S. Pu-ching), and ketotifen; treatment group on the basis of the control group was added montelukast chewable tablet, with a total course of 3 months. Observed effect, follow-up of 6 months, follow-up recurrence. Results The total effective rate 84.45%, the recurrence rate of 6.67%; the control group, the total efficiency of 61.9%, the recurrence rate of 19.06% by χ 2 test 2 compared the total effective rate and relapse rate were significantly different (P amp;lt;0.01) . Conclusion Montelukast treatment of children with cough variant asthma accurate, fewer side effects, recurrence rate is low, worthy to be popularized.
