PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 20 Normal foot anatomy of soft tissue MRI Author: TAN Qi Xuan, Wang Qingyun, Zhu Gang Ming, Chen Ke, Li Yang Bin [Abstract] Objective To study the normal MRI anatomy and MRI of the foot right foot showed soft tissue structure, the ability for the soft tissue injury foot MRI anatomical basis for fault diagnosis. Methods 40 cases of normal foot MRI image data, refer to the foot anatomy literature, to determine the muscles, tendons, ligaments and cartilage MRI anatomy of the performance. Results All the muscles, tendons in all MRI sequences can be clearly distinguished. Tarsal ligament in most cases the exact identification of the Department. The Department of a small amount of short and thin tarsal ligament and the plantar, the majority of the toe ligament illegible. Conclusion MRI is currently the show live foot section of soft tissue anatomy of the best means, but for a small structure, yet to be satisfied with display technologies and methods improvements. [Keywords:] foot; soft tissue; magnetic resonance imaging; sectional anatomy Abstract: Objective To study MRI anatomy of soft tissue structures of normal foot, and the detectability of these structures on MRI, and to provide sectional anatomical data for MRI diagnosis of soft tissues injury. Methods MR scans of foot were studied in 40 normal subjects without any specific abnormalities or symptoms. Based on foot sectional anatomical literature, determine the location, adjacent relation, morphous, signal of muscles, muscle tendons, ligaments and cartilage. Results All muscles, muscle tendons and most tarsotarsal ligaments were well demonstrated in all cases on each MR sequence. Little tarsotarsal ligaments were not demonstrated because they are too short and thin. The most ligaments of voix pedis and digiti pedis can not be identified. Conclusion MRI is the optimal means to study soft tissue structure of foot in vivo. But satisfactorily manifestation of tiny structures of foot depend
