Methods 47 cases of upper gastrointestinal bleeding were divided into treatment group (25 cases) and control group (22 cases), both patient groups regular rehydration, symptomatic support therapy, the treatment group was given octreotide on the basis of intravenous omeprazole; control group pituitrin, cimetidine and other treatment; curative effects were observed. the treatment group total efficiency of 96%, without obvious side effects; the control group, the total efficiency of 77%, abdominal pain, arrhythmia and other side effects, compared two groups were significantly different, the treatment group was better than the control group. Conclusions of octreotide and omeprazole the treatment of upper gastrointestinal bleeding markedly fast, high efficacy, the use of security.
