[Methods] LPHP treatment of 32 elderly patients with proximal humerus fractures with an average follow-up of 7 months. [Results] no postoperative wound infection, fracture healing and fixation loosening occurred. Shoulder function score according to Neer criteria, 12 patients with excellent features, good in 14 cases, fair in 5 cases and poor in 1 case, the fine rate was 81.25%. [Conclusion] The proximal humeral locking plate fixation of proximal humeral fractures in elderly reliable, less complications, fracture healing well, easy to early functional exercise and so on.
