Methods 163 cases, 298 eyes of amblyopic children in 4 ~ 12 years old were enrolled in the research, including 71 males and 92 females. Four-combined therapy referred to the treatment combined pleoptics, CAM vision stimulator, synoptophore and occlusion. The forms and duration of the treatment were adjudged by patients’ practical eye conditions. Results Those severe cases received worse outcomes, meanwhile, the juniors received better outcomes especially in 4 ~ 6 years old. Those who with accommodative esotropia gained more beneficial outcomes than other types. The amblyopic patients with centre visual fixation remain received the best improvement in visual acuity. Conclusion The four-combined treatment is safe and effective. Early treatment will improve the chances for a successful clinical outcome. Proper age for starting treatment is 4 ~ 8 years old.
