This paper describes the basic working principle of QCM and application of basic equation, and on this basis, reviewed the recent QCM study in the application of polymer films and research progress, including the QCM of the polymer film thickness and mechanical properties of the measurement, QCM of polymer chains adsorbed on the surface of the quartz process and the chain conformational change, triggered the growth of polymer brushes the surface of the dynamic process, based on functional polymer film and the QCM in biological and chemical sensors, while the polymer film on the QCM further areas of research applications are discussed.
