PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 18 Radiation and anti-VEGF antibody on human hepatocellular carcinoma tumor growth inhibition of Author: Zheng Qing-ping, Chen Hua, Shi Health 【Abstract】 Objective To observe the radiation and anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody on human hepatocellular carcinoma in nude mice transplanted tumor growth in vivo. Methods SMMC  7721 hepatoma cells grown in nude mice hindlimb subcutaneously into the tumor animals were divided into radioactive antibody group, radiotherapy group, antibody group and control group, each monoclonal antibody administered intraperitoneally every other day 50μg each, a total of six times, radiation dose 20Gy once given, measuring tumor size and calculate the tumor volume. Antibody administration 2 weeks after the animals were killed, saying the tumor weight, measured by immunohistochemical method microvessel density. The results of radiation and anti-VEGF antibody significantly inhibited tumor growth, reducing tumor microvessel density, but the difference between the two groups had no significant. Radiation and anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody and compared with radiotherapy alone, or antibody, a significant anti-tumor effect, three groups of tumor weight inhibition rates were 89.2%, 75.3% and 65.9%, the difference was significant. Conclusions radiation with anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody significantly inhibited the growth of liver tumor, is an effective way to comprehensive treatment of liver cancer. Keywords: Liver cancer radiation therapy of anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody; nude The Inhibiting Effect of Radiation and Anti  VEGF Monoclonal Antibody on the Growth of Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma Xenografts Keywords:: Hepatocellular carcinoma; Radiotherapy; Anti  VEGF mAb; Nude mice Liver cancer is not sensitive to radiation oncology, while the liver more sensitive to radiation, are not satisfied with the efficacy of conventional radiotherapy [1].
