Methods 968 cases of retired patients, the Hamilton depression scale (Hamilton Depression Scale, HAMD) as evaluation indicators of depression, HAMD score over 20 points that the existence of depression. All cases were selected on the HAMD score, and to investigate depression-related factors. Results 968 cases of retired patients, 49 cases of depression, the prevalence of 5.06%. 11.11% of patients with primary education, secondary education were 6.49%, 3.74% university educated patients with depression (P lt;0.05); 4.31% in patients with normal cognitive function, 10.91% of cognitive dysfunction of depression ( P lt;0.01); 7.01% of stroke patients, 2.99% non-stroke patients with depression (P lt;0.01); 18.18% of patients with stroke sequelae and 3.57% had no sequelae of stroke patients with depression (P lt;0.01) ; 14.29% cancer patients, 3.94% non-cancer patients with depression (P lt;0.01); 0 ~ 1 2.37% in patients with somatic diseases suffer from depression, 2 ~ 4 5.22% in patients with somatic diseases suffer from depression, 5 ~ 6 11.54% in patients with somatic diseases suffer from depression (P lt;0.05); multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that level of education, cognitive function, stroke sequelae, cancer, body types of diseases associated with depression. Conclusion retired cadres, the incidence of depression and education level, cognitive function, stroke sequelae, cancer, body types of diseases related to active intervention measures should be taken to reduce depression on physical and psychological impact.
