Procedure
Step 1? Revision
1 Greetings and show the title---Lesson22.
2 Sing a song: The Month Song??
Step 2? New concepts
1 Revise the four seasons. And talk about the four seasons.?
1) winter? The teacher shows the picture of winter. Teacher asks some questions quickly. E.g which season is it? Spell the word. How’s the weather in winter? What can you do in winter? What do you like to do in winter?… (Draw some snow with white chalk and a picture of a girl skiing on the Bb.)
2) spring? Show a riddle. Guess what season. (Riddle : It’s a season. The weather
is warm and rainy. Flowers bloom. What season is it?) Then talk about spring in
pairs. Draw two flowers under the word spring.
T: Do you like spring?? Ss: Yes.
T: Why? (Ask the Ss to answer using Because…)
Then write “Why? and Because…” on the Bb.
Draw a picture on the Bb. Learn “splash in the rain”
3)summer Talk about in pairs. Draw the red sun on the Bb. Explain the phrase of sit in the sun with a picture on the Bb.
4)fall Show a flashcard of fall. Ask the Ss to talk about it. Explain “play in the wind” with the picture by drawing on the Bb.
2 Practice.
? T: Now we know the four seasons. I like these four seasons. But my favourite season is summer. Why? Because I like to sit in the sun. I like to wear shorts T-shirt and sandals. Do you like summer? What’s your favourite season? Why? Talk about in groups of three.??
Ask the Ss to work in groups. Then do a chain drill .
Step 3 Listening and reading
1 Show the picture of Jenny and Li Ming. Listen to the tape, and answer the question: Whats Jennys favourite season?
2 After that open the books. Listen and repeat with the tape.
