Vector-hostepidemicmodelswithdirecttransmission areproposedandanalyzed.Itisshownthat thestability oftheequilibria intheproposed models canbecontrolled bythebasic reproduction number ofthedisease transmission. Onemodel considers thatthedynamics ofhuman hostsand vectorsaredescribedbySISandSImodel,respectively,wheretheglobalasymptotical stabilityfor theequilibriaofthemodelisanalyzedbyconstructing Lyapunovfunction,respectively.Theother model considers thatthedynamics ofthehuman hosts andvectors aredescribed bySIRSandSI model, respectively,wheretheglobal stability ofthedisease-free equilibrium andthepersistence ofthediseaseinthemodelarealsoanalyzed, respectively. 1.Introduction Mathematical models of infectious disease have proven to be valuable component for public health planing and responses, as well as an important application of population biology.
