Thehemodynamicresponsestoexercisehavebeenstudiedtoagreatextentoverthepastdecades,andanexaggeratedblood pressureresponseduringanacuteexercisebouthasbeenconsideredasanindicatorofcardiovascularrisk.Obesityisamajor factorin?uencingthebloodpressureresponsetoexercisesinceevidenceindicatesthatthearterialpressureresponsetoexerciseis exacerbatedinobesecomparedwithleanadults.Signsofaugmentedresponses(suchasanexaggeratedbloodpressureresponse)to physicalexertionappearearlyinlife(fromtheprepubertalyears)inobeseindividuals.Understandingthemechanismsthatdrive thealteredhemodynamicresponsesduringexerciseinobeseindividualsandpreventtheprogressiontohypertensionisvitally important.Thispaperfocusesontheevidencelinkingobesitywithalterationsoftheautonomicnervoussystemanddiscusses thepotentialmechanismsandconsequencesofthealteredsympatheticnervoussystembehaviorinobeseindividualsatrestand duringexercise.Furthermore,thispaperpresentsthealterationsinthere?exregulatorymechanisms(“exercisepressorre?ex”and barore?ex)inobesechildre
