Methods The lick sam- ples were collecled from Ihe dogs in 18 dislricls and counlies of Shanghai from March to December in 2011 , and the ticks were identified for Ihe species through the morphological analysis by the dissecting microscope in laboratory. Results TOlally 1 950 dogs were investigated for licks parasitizing on Ihe bodies of dislricts including Jiading , Minhang , Pudong , Songjiang, Huangpu and Jinshan. These tieks were belong 10 2 species of 2 genera by morphological analysis in laboralory.
