INSPECTION PENRICE ANGASTON QUARRY OPERATION Thursday 19 February 2009 MPL 118 Determine compliance against the applicable obligations as set out in the Mining Act 1971, the lease conditions and approved mining and rehabilitation program, number 2008/026. “The Licencee must in constructing and operating the Licence, ensure that there are no public nuisance impacts from noise emanating from the Licence. “ Noise levels from onsite sources are below the SA EPA Environmental Protection (Noise) Policy 2007. Use of heavy mine vehicles and equipment only between the hours from 7am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturdays. (non public holidays) no nuisance impacts to local residents and adjacent land uses from air emissions and dust generated by mining operations Within 3 months of licence commencement a suitable qualified consultant will develop a nuisance dust sampling program Dust analysis not more than the National health Standard “..responsible for recording and addressing complaints received from the public with respect to the mining operations “. Penrice are now entering all complaints on a register and this information is being presented at the PCCG. One of the complaints alleges that considerable noise was generated from a road trucks leaving the site at 2.15am on the 8 February 2009.
