Abstract
Despite high rates of exposure, only 5–10% of people infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis will develop active
tuberculosis(TB)disease,suggestingasignificantroleforgeneticvariationinthehumanimmuneresponsetothisinfection.
Here,westudiedTBassociationandexpressionof18genesinvolvedintheToll-likereceptor(TLR)pathways.Initially,we
genotyped149sequencepolymorphismsin375pulmonaryTBpatientsand387controlsfromIndonesia.Wefoundthat
