Methods:Adetailedassessmentwascarriedouton63maleand62femalevictims.Interviewsandphysical examinationprovidedinformationabouttraumaticexposure,injuries,andintensityandfrequencyofpain. Emotionalwell-beingwasassessedusingthe“WHO-5Well-Being”score.Height,weight,handgripstrengthand standingbalanceperformanceweremeasured. Results:Around50%ofvictimshadexperiencedatleasttwotypesoftorturemethodsandreportedatleasttwo injurylocations;70%hadmoderateorseverepainand92%reportedconstantorperiodicpainwithintheprevious twoweeks.Only10%ofthevictimswereinpaidemployment.Nearly90%ofvictimshadexperiencedatleastfour typesofemotionaldisturbanceswithintheprevioustwoweeks,andmanyhadlowscoresforemotionalwell- being.Thiswasfoundtobeassociatedwithseverepain,higherexposuretoviolenceandhumanrightsviolations andwithaloweducationallevel,unemploymentandtheabsenceofpoliticalorsocialinvolvement. Overtwothirdsofvictimswereoverweightorobese.Theyshowedmarkeddeclineinhandgripstrengthandonly 19victimsmanagedtomaintainstandingbalance.Thosewhowereemployedorhadahighereducationlevel, whodidnottakeanti-depressantoranxietydrugsandhadbetteremotionalwell-beingornopaincomplaints showedbetterhandgripstrengthandstandingbalance. Conclusions:Thevictimsreportedahighprevalenceofseverepainandemotionaldisturbance.Theyshowedhigh BMIandareducedlevelofphysicalfitness.Education,employme
