Abstract
Background:Thefingerprintofamoleculeisabitstringbasedonitsstructure,constructedsuchthatstructurally
similarmoleculeswillhavesimilarfingerprints.Molecularfingerprintscanbeusedinaninitialphaseofdrug
developmentforidentifyingnoveldrugcandidatesbyscreeninglargedatabasesformoleculeswithfingerprints
similartoaqueryfingerprint.
