Abstract
Background:Theresultsofasmallnumberofstudiesofautonomicfunctioninpatientswithadvancedcancer
suggestthatautonomicdysfunction(AD)iscommon.Inotherdisease-specificgroupsthisisassociatedwith
decreasedsurvival,fallsandsymptomssuchasposturalhypotension,nausea,earlysatietyandfatigue.The
contributionofADtosymptomsinadvancedcancerisunknown.
