Abstract
Background:Determiningtheprimarysiteofmetastaticcancerwithconfidencecanbechallenging.Pathologists
commonlyuseabatteryofimmunohistochemical(IHC)stainstodeterminetheprimarysite.Geneexpression
profiling(GEP)hasfoundincreasinguse,particularlyinthemostdifficultcases.Inthispilotstudy,adirect
comparisonbetweenGEPandIHC-guidedmethodswasperformed.
