This paper analyzed the development cost composition and the calculation methods of unconventional and conventional natu- ral gas. The differences of development technology between the both were pointed out ,further ,combining with the actual production cost of some unconventional gas projects ,the development cost structure of unconventional gas was expounded. By analyzing the influence of some new development technology to the development of unconventional gas resource , the paper put forward that it is critical to apply new technology to improve the economic effect of unconventional gas development.
