This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Open Access Abstract A meta-analysis was performed to explore the relationship between subjective well-being (SWB) and positive psychological capital, as well as potential moderating effects of research characteris- tics on these associations. In sum, 33 samples (N = 16,101) fulfilled selection criteria for analysis. We found the following results: 1) Positive psychological capital had positive correlation with subjective well-being, although considerable heterogeneity was observed for effect sizes. 2) Posi- tive psychological capital also had correlations with the different subjective well-being constructs. In details, positive psychological capital had positive correlations with life satisfaction and posi- tive affect and had negative correlations with negative affect. 3) The relations between positive psychological capital and subjective well-being were moderated by regional classification. Finally, the results and direction of further research were discussed.
