The control degree of micro - structural type and configuration mode to the residual oil was studied. Results show that the microstructure forward unit, developmental region of top convex bottom convex type configuration are the advantageous area of Shen 161 block for the remaining oil distribution. The distributary channel deposit there has the best control effect on re­ sidual oil.
