A field experime t was co ducted to compare the effects of PGRs with differe t formula o the photosy thesis characteristic a d itroge metabolism of maize. The results showed that PGRs sig ifica tly i creased the chlorophyll co te ts a d the et photosy thetic rate of fu ctio al leaves, the tra sportatio of itroge from leaves a d stems to grai s, the activities of itrate reductase, glutami e sy thetase a d glutami e tra sferase i fu ctio al leaves of maize a d glutami e sy thetase a d glutami e tra sferase i grai s of maize i grai filli g stage, a d the activities of protease i maize fu ctio al leaves i the middle a d a aphase of filli g stage. The grai yields, the protei co te ts i the grai , a d the grai protei yields were sig ifica tly i creased whe maize pla t was treated with PGRs. PGR4 a d PGR3 had the best feedback effects. The protei N i maize grai , maize grai yields a d grai protei yields of treatme t PGR4 were i creased respectively by 135 g/ kg, 95% , 196% compared with CK. The protei N i grai , grai yield
